Meet Beata Jezek! Beata was born and raised in Bratislava, Slovakia and moved to Cork Ireland where she established her very successful yarn colourways.

Jezek in Slovakian means hedgehog, so Beata branded Hedgehog Fibres and off she went! HHF is a bootstrapped company, and employs a multinational team of mainly women who are mothers and young creatives and eventually hired everyone in her knitting group. Beata unapologetically stole great people out of unhappy jobs.

We will keep you posted on order cut off dates throughout the year with plenty of notice.

Feel Good Yarns particularly loves the HHF tweedy range, made from 50% recycled content and highlighted with pops of HHF colours for the signature statements.

Beata says, "It’s the colours I want to knit with, the colours I want to wear and the colours I can’t live without. Our range reflects my personal style. From dark, rich and earthy, to crazy, fluorescent and vibrant, depending on my mood, but always colours I love. We are often imitated but never duplicated. We make the best yarn in the world."

To be fair, I do spend quite a bit of time just staring at those colourways, and imagining all the projects they could be
crafted into..... :)
